Lou’s Place offers a low-barrier, daytime drop-in centre where women can access practical support, meet immediate needs, and spend time in a safe and welcoming environment.
What's Available
Our drop-in centre provides essential, day-to-day supports, including:
- Breakfast daily (Mon–Fri at 8:30am)
- Nutritious home-cooked lunch (Mon–Fri at 12:30pm)
- Warm showers
- Laundry facilities
- Emergency clothing
- Toiletries
- Phone and computer access

We offer low-pressure, welcoming activities that support connection, wellbeing, and confidence, while providing opportunities to learn new skills.

On-Site Support and Services
We host regular clinics and professional services, including:
- Legal
- Immigration
- Alcohol and other drug (AOD) support
- Healthcare
- Centrelink
- Employment support
Casework Support
Women can also connect with our experienced casework team for practical support and guidance.
Our case workers are available on-site – no appointment needed. They take the time to listen, understand what’s going on, and help connect women to the right supports.
Support may include:
- Crisis support and immediate assistance
- Warm referrals to other services
- Internal referral to case management and ongoing support
- Assistance with housing, health, safety, and other needs
- Support to attend appointments or court appearances where capacity allows
- Support with fines, bills & debt
How We Work
We know it can be difficult to navigate different services or know where to start. Our team helps make this easier by walking alongside women, advocating where needed, and providing non-judgemental support in a safe and familiar environment.
Women can drop in at any time during opening hours – whether for a meal, a conversation, specialised support, or just to hang out.
